Cookie Policy

How Qurutu uses cookies and similar technologies.

Last updated: May 28, 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow us to recognize your browser, remember preferences, and understand how you interact with Qurutu.

2. Cookies We Use

  • Authentication cookies: Session tokens set after you sign in with Google. These are essential for keeping you logged in and cannot be disabled.
  • Preference cookies: Store UI settings such as theme or layout preferences so they persist across visits.
  • Security cookies: Help detect and prevent fraudulent activity and protect your account.
  • Analytics cookies: Collect aggregated, anonymised data about how visitors use Qurutu (pages visited, time spent, errors). We use this to improve the product. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics cookies.

3. Third-Party Cookies

When you authenticate via Google OAuth, Google may set its own cookies governed by the Google Privacy Policy. We do not control these cookies.

Dodo Payments may set cookies related to payment session handling during checkout. These are strictly necessary for processing transactions.

4. Local Storage

In addition to cookies, Qurutu uses browser local storage to persist certain application state (e.g., cached playlist data, UI state). This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

5. Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that disabling essential cookies (authentication, security) will prevent Qurutu from functioning correctly.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Qurutu after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
